A new Wheatbelt home where connecting to the grid would have cost over $50,000. The off-grid system came in at less than half.
The owners were building on a rural block where the grid connection quote came in at more than $50,000. We designed an off-grid system sized for a full family home, with a three-phase inverter so the house runs like any grid-connected home.
The panels went on the house roof, and the inverter and batteries in a dedicated shed. We trenched between the two and set up 4G monitoring so we can see how the system is running without driving out. The federal solar and battery discounts came off the price upfront.
